Don Hewitt, the creator of 60 minutes died of pancreatic cancer yesterday. Now, I mean no ill will toward his family, but does anybody want to stop for a second and just remember what 60 minutes is all about?

Its just relevant because Don Hewitt personally arranged the interview to help Clinton out. This would become a regular thing for 60 minutes, which really was and is the most left leaning “news” show around. Thanks to the Drudge Report, Mr. Hewitt
is hailed as “genius”. I don’t know, no one said Cronkite was “genius”. I didn’t even hear anyone call Michael Jackson “genius”.
To Mr. Hewitts credit, he did defend the firing of Dan Rather over the fraudulent George Bush National Guard story, but a “genius”?
